CAAT Pension Plan
Michael Dawson has extensive work experience in the finance and asset management industry. Michael currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at CAAT Pension Plan since April 2022. Prior to this, they served as Vice President, Finance at CAAT Pension Plan from May 2018 to April 2022. Before joining CAAT Pension Plan, Michael worked at BlackRock as a Vice President from January 2015 to April 2018. Michael also gained valuable experience at PwC Canada, where they worked as a Senior Manager, Asset Management, Audit and Assurance Group from January 2005 to January 2015.
Michael Dawson graduated from Brock University in 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. After graduation, they pursued further education and obtained the designation of Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada). Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as "A Crash Course in Data Science" from Coursera in June 2017. Michael is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder, although the institution and year of obtaining this certification are not specified. Michael is also associated with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario).
