Jessica Sutton has a long and varied work experience. Jessica began their career in 2011 as an Interior Design Intern at Hoakalei Design Studio. Jessica then worked as a Retail Sales Associate at Contessa S. Boutique. In 2012, they became the Public Art Program Coordinator at the City of San Luis Obispo. The following year, they worked as an SLO Triathlon Event Registrar and Special Events Specialist at the City of San Luis Obispo Parks and Recreation Department. In 2013, they joined Dot & Bo as a Lead Merchandise Curator, Merchandise Curator, and Customer Experience Associate; Home Design Stylist. In 2016, they became the Marketing & Merchandising Manager at Bloomingville US. In 2017, they worked as a Senior Project Manager and Head of Merchandising at CABA Design, as well as a Content & Merchandising Consultant at Parsa Collective. Finally, in 2018, they became the Head of Merchandising at Inside Weather.

Jessica Sutton has a diverse educational background. Jessica attended Le Jardin Academy from 2004-2008 and obtained their High School Diploma. Jessica then attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2008-2012 and earned a B.S. in Social Sciences with a Concentration in Public Art. In 2011, they attended Richmond, The American International University in London, Florence Center, Italy where they studied Art Theirtory, Italian Theirtory, Studio Drawing, and Italian Language. Following that, they attended Chaminade University of Honolulu for Environmental + Interior Design and UC Berkeley Extension for Interior Design & Architecture.
