The Cabarrus Health Alliance (CHA), the health department serving Cabarrus County, brings nationally recognized leadership and expertise in public health to the the NC Research Campus. CHA is one of the only nationally certified public health departments in the country. CHA provides many free to low-cost classes and programs for the residents of Cabarrus County on subjects such as healthy cooking, yoga, nutrition education and disease management. Classes and programs are offered at the CHA headquarters in Kannapolis and throughout Cabarrus County in neighborhood centers, churches and other facilities.

The Program Management Team at Cabarrus Health Alliance is responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of various public health initiatives and programs. This team works collaboratively to develop and manage programs related to lifestyle medicine, behavioral health, workforce training, public health emergency preparedness, and teen pregnancy prevention. They ensure that these programs are effectively delivered to the residents of Cabarrus County, utilizing community centers, churches, and other local facilities to maximize reach and impact.
