Tobias Malzacher

Tobias Malzacher has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Tobias began their career at DSM in 2005, where they completed an apprenticeship as a Chemielaborant and later worked as a Laboratory Technician. In 2014, they joined Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz FHNW as a Scientific Assistant. In 2016, they returned to DSM as a Laboratory Technician before transitioning to CABB in 2017 as a Plant Chemist. Currently, Tobias holds the position of Head of OPEX at CABB, a role they have been in since August 2021.

Tobias Malzacher has a comprehensive education history that includes both undergraduate and graduate studies in the field of Life Sciences. Tobias obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Molecular Life Sciences from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW, where they studied from 2011 to 2014. Following their undergraduate studies, Tobias pursued their Master of Science degree in Life Sciences at the same institution, completing their studies from 2014 to 2016.

Before their university studies, Tobias attended Gewerbeschule Bad Säckingen from 2010 to 2011 to obtain the Berufskollegen zum Erwerb der Fachhochschulreife Studienfach Technische Berufsmaturität, a qualification related to technical professional maturity for higher education. Prior to that, they attended Berufsschule Aarau from 2005 to 2008, where they obtained a diploma as a Chemielaborant, or chemical laboratory assistant.

In addition to their formal education, Tobias has also pursued certifications in Lean Six Sigma. Tobias obtained the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from inspire AG in September 2019, followed by the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the same institution in November 2021.
