Christian Fickes has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Christian began their career as a Geospatial Analyst in the US Army, where they operated the Terrain Team and extracted geographic data for military operations. Following their military service, they worked as an Information Systems Specialist at L Robert Kimball and Associates, conducting quality control and creating geospatial databases. Christian then joined the PA Army National Guard as a Supervisory GIS Engineer, where they created high-quality geospatial data and maps.

Christian's career in geospatial engineering continued at Northrop Grumman Corporation, where they played an integral role in supporting the Army Geospatial Center. Christian utilized ESRI ArcGIS Suite software for terrain and hydrologic analysis and modified existing toolbars to improve efficiency. Christian served as the technical project lead for their SQL Server Business Intelligence Data Warehouse and tested contractor development for data accuracy. Later, they were promoted to the role of Lead Data Engineer, where they designed and implemented BI reports and dashboards using Power BI, SSRS, and ReportBuilder.

In 2009-2011, Christian attended the University of Phoenix, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Science Information Technology/Web Development and Business Systems Development. In 2012, they completed a Certificate in Java Development at Learnquest Technologies. Additionally, Christian obtained a Certificate in National Incident Management System from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
