Omid Askari

Omid Askari is a motivated Ph.D. Mechanical Engineer with over 15 years of experience in the research and development of thermodynamic and thermal systems. They currently serve as the Lead R&D Engineer at Cabot Corporation, focusing on reinforcement materials and sustainability, while also holding an Associate Professorship at West Virginia University. Omid has previously held academic positions at Mississippi State University and has supervised numerous research teams, securing over $2 million in competitive research funding. With expertise in experimental design, thermal-fluid sciences, and alternative fuels, Omid has contributed to more than 70 peer-reviewed publications throughout their career.
