Al Simms

Al Simms is an experienced professional in law enforcement and funeral services. Currently serving as a Deputy Sheriff at the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office since February 2018, Al has an extensive background that includes prior positions as Deputy Sheriff from January 2014 to December 2016. Al's management and funeral directing expertise were honed at several funeral homes, including as Manager/Funeral Director/Embalmer at Forest Park Funeral Home and Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Al retired as a Police Captain after a distinguished career with the Shreveport Police Department, which lasted from April 1969 to December 1996. Educational achievements include credentials from Louisiana Tech University, the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science.
