Tong Xu

Tong Xu is a highly experienced software engineer with a focus on datapath optimization and multi-threading enhancements. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Cadence Design Systems since January 2015, Tong has contributed to flow development and runtime/memory improvements. Previous roles include Principal Software Engineer and Lead Software Engineer, specializing in physical synthesis and optimization. Tong's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tianjin University. Prior experiences involve research in thermal-aware GPU-based design and internships at Freescale Semiconductor and Rambus & Cryptography Research, Inc.
