Umesh Lohani

Umesh Lohani has extensive experience in the semiconductor and design engineering industry, currently serving as a Director at Cadence Design Systems since January 2015, after holding positions as a Senior Engineering Manager and Senior Principal Engineer. Prior experience includes a role as Technical Lead at Microchip Technology from October 2013 to July 2023, and various positions at Freescale Semiconductor from July 2006 to October 2013, including Lead Design Engineer and Senior Design Engineer. Umesh began the career as a Research Intern at STMicroelectronics. Educational qualifications include pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Neuromorphic Chips and NVM applications for AI at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, along with a Master of Technology in Digital Signal Processing from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication from M.M.M.E.C. Gorakhpur.
