Scott Brener

Scott Brener has extensive work experience in various leadership and legal roles. Scott currently serves as the SVP/General Counsel at FIGUR8, Inc. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Vice President/General Counsel at Cadence Rx. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Consultant/Principal at The Brener Group. Before that, they were the Senior Vice President & General Counsel at SFM - The Work Comp Experts from 2007 to 2019. Scott also worked as the Commissioner at the MN Department of Labor and Industry from 2003 to 2007. Earlier in their career, they held positions such as Consultant at The Brener Group, Assistant Commissioner at the Minnesota Department of Trade and Economic Development, and Director of Public Policy at QWEST/US WEST Communications. Scott started their career in 1996 as the Deputy Director of Cabinet Affairs at the Office of the Governor. Additionally, they worked as the Assistant Commissioner/General Counsel at the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry from 1994 to 1998.

Scott Brener attended Georgetown University from 1983 to 1987 where they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in International/Global Studies. Following their undergraduate studies, they went on to attend Emory University School of Law, although the start and end years for this period are not provided. Scott obtained their JD degree from Emory University School of Law.
