Lai-Sin Ley has over 10 years of professional experience in the hospitality and events industry. Lai-Sin began their career in 2011 as a server for Lone Star Steakhouse and Texas Land & Cattle. In 2013, they worked as a Front Desk Agent for Marriott International. In 2014, they worked as a Server for Reata Restaurant. In 2015, Ley worked as a Project Management Intern for Encore Live and a Convention Services Manager for Omni Hotels & Resorts. From 2018-2021, Ley worked as a Catering Sales Manager and Convention Services Manager for the Nines: A Starwood Luxury Collection hotel. Also in 2021, they worked as a Social Events Manager, Interim Social Events Manager, and Event Coordinator for Multnomah Athletic Club. Additionally, Ley was the Vice Chair and Event Manager for the Junior League of Portland's Rose City Summit. Most recently, they began working as a Customer and Event Success Manager for Event Cadence in 2022.
Lai-Sin Ley attended the University of North Texas from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a degree in Hospitality Management with a focus in Meeting and Event Planning. In 2021, they obtained a Project Management certification from Portland State University’s Center for Executive and Professional Education (CEPE). Later that year, they enrolled in HarvardX to pursue a course in Rhetoric: The Art of Persuasive Writing and Public Speaking. Lai-Sin is currently enrolled in the Junior League of Portland Learning Institute (JLPLI) Nonprofit Leadership Certification Program, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
