Scott Slater has extensive experience in the field of water supply infrastructure projects. Scott began their career in 1984 as a Shareholder at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, where they played a significant role in negotiating agreements and managing groundwater resources in Southern California. In 2011, they became the CEO and President of Cadiz Inc., where they led the Cadiz Valley Water Conservation, Recovery and Storage Project. This project aimed to conserve water and deliver it to the Colorado River Aqueduct through a pipeline, without causing any adverse environmental impact. The project received validation through multiple court opinions.
Scott Slater completed their Bachelor's degree at the University of Redlands in 1980. Scott then went on to obtain a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of the Pacific - McGeorge School of Law in 1984.
