Helen Hajiyiannis has over 20 years of experience in the field of research and program management. From 1998 to 2003, they worked as a Researcher at The Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation. During this time, they gained valuable experience in conducting research and data analysis.
In 2003, Helen joined Cadre and served as a Senior Researcher for five years. Helen conducted research and evaluations in the field of HIV, developed research protocols, and analyzed data for reports. Helen also contributed to the development of mass media materials for health communications.
In 2008, Helen was promoted to the role of Research Manager at Cadre, where they managed junior and senior researchers and oversaw research projects in the organization's area of focus.
In 2009, they were appointed as Deputy Director, taking on senior leadership responsibilities and managing the overall operations of the organization. Helen led programs in HIV communications, research, development, and evaluation.
In 2012, Helen's role at Cadre further expanded as they became the Director and Senior Researcher. Helen led multiple programs in Health Communications development, research, and evaluation. Helen'sexpertise in the development of media materials, including out of home, print, and IEC materials, played a crucial role in the organization's success. Helen continues to hold this position.
Helen Hajiyiannis completed their Bachelor's Degree in Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology and Sociology) from Rhodes University between the years 1987 and 1989. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's Honours degree in Psychology at the same institution from 1990 to 1991. Helen then went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Psychology from Rhodes University, completing their studies between 1992 and 1998.
