Angel Eduardo Cardenas Sosa is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in infrastructure and energy projects across Latin America, currently serving as the Director of Infrastructure Projects for the South Region at CAF - Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina since July 2012. Cardenas Sosa oversees a significant portfolio exceeding US$ 6 billion, focusing on Public/Private sector transactions and strategic execution in the infrastructure sector. Prior roles include Director of Energy Projects, Senior Private Sector Executive, and Principal Energy Executive, managing diverse projects and leading multidisciplinary teams. Additionally, Cardenas Sosa has held advisory and consulting positions at Eisenhower Fellowships, Vox Capital, and the National Center for Competitiveness of Venezuela, as well as academic roles at Universidad Católica Andrés Bello and Universidad Central de Venezuela. Educational credentials include an MBA from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management and master’s degrees from IESA and American University.
