Gustavo Torres has a diverse work experience, starting in 2002 at BBVA Banco Provincial as an Operador de Tesorería Divisas. Gustavo then joined Banco de Venezuela in 2007 as the Gerente de Tesorería Mercados Profesionales before moving to Fivenca Casa de Bolsa in 2010 as a Trader Senior for a brief period. In the same year, they also began working at Bancrecer, first as a Tesorero and later as the Vicepresidente de Tesorería until 2019. Most recently, they joined CAF -banco de desarrollo de América Latina- in 2019 as an Ejecutivo Principal / Tesoreria.
Gustavo Torres has a bachelor's degree in Economics and Finance from Universidad Santa María, which they obtained from 1992 to 1998. Gustavo also has a specialist degree in International Business with a focus on International Finance and Foreign Trade from Universidad Metropolitana, which they completed from 2003 to 2004. Additionally, they hold a Master's degree in Financial Institutions from UCAB - Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, starting in 2009. Gustavo Torres also has certifications in Applied Stock Finance from Tecnológico de Monterrey and the Financial Markets Foundation Qualification (FMFQ) from ICMA - International Capital Market Association, both obtained in 2022.
