Shahid Ali

Shahid Ali is an experienced financial professional with expertise in financial planning and analysis, accounting, and auditing. Currently serving as an FP&A Analyst at CAFU since June 2023, Shahid has implemented zero-based budgeting and developed an automated budget model. Prior to this role, Shahid worked as a Senior Financial Accountant at Bayut & Dubizzle, where responsibilities included leading external audits and preparing financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Shahid's background also includes a Senior Associate position at EY, focusing on data-driven audits for various company sizes, and earlier experience as a Research and Development Scientist at Abbott, where project management and experiment design were key areas of responsibility. Shahid holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Bath and is a member of ICAS, having completed professional training from 2019 to 2022.
