Karen Hurley, AHFI, CFE, is an experienced investigator currently working for CAHABA SAFEGUARD ADMINISTRATORS LLC as part of the Marketplace Program Integrity Contractor team since February 2018. Previously, Karen has held various roles at Cahaba GBA, including Medicare Part A Appeals Manager and Benefit Integrity Investigator, contributing significantly to Medicare program integrity from 1997 to 2015. Prior experience includes a position as a Medicare Benefit Integrity Analyst at Aetna Insurance Company from 1991 to 1997. Karen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Brewton-Parker College.

Cahaba Government Benefit Administrators®, LLC (Cahaba GBA) administers Medicare health insurance for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). We have been a Medicare contractor since the inception of the program in 1966. We are the J10 A/B Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) for the states of Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. We currently remain the Part B Carrier for Mississippi.
