Amadeus Pribowo, Ph.D.

Amadeus Pribowo, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Amadeus is currently a Venture Fellow at Insignia Ventures Academy, where they began in September 2022. Prior to that, Amadeus founded and served as CEO of Cahaya Naturals from August 2016.

From 2014 to 2021, they worked at the Indonesia International Institute for Life-Sciences (i3L), holding multiple positions including Vice Rector of Academics from February 2017 to June 2021, Director of Collaborations from May 2016 to January 2017, and Program Manager for Biotechnology and Bioentrepreneurship from August 2014 to April 2016.

In terms of education, Amadeus completed their Ph.D. at the University of British Columbia (UBC) as a Graduate Researcher from September 2008 to April 2014. During their time at UBC, they also worked as a Graduate Researcher and Consultant from May 2013 to August 2013, as well as a Project Manager from October 2011 to March 2012.

Amadeus has also been involved in the International Student Energy Summit as a Program Developer from May 2011 to August 2011. Amadeus contributed to the development of programs for one of the largest student-run international conferences on (renewable) energy.

Additionally, they gained research experience as a Research Assistant at AMGEN Burnaby from May 2007 to December 2007 and at UBC from January 2006 to August 2006.

Furthermore, Amadeus served as the Treasurer for the Indonesian Student Association at UBC from 2004 to 2006.

Amadeus Pribowo, Ph.D., completed their high school education at Canisius College from 2000 to 2003, where their field of study was focused on science. Amadeus then pursued their undergraduate studies at The University of British Columbia, earning a Bachelor of Science degree from 2004 to 2008. Amadeus'smajor was in Microbiology and Immunology, with a minor in Commerce. After completing their bachelor's degree, they continued their education at The University of British Columbia and obtained a Ph.D. from 2008 to 2012. Amadeus'sdoctoral research was in the field of Bioenergy and Bioproducts.
