Richard Tree D.Eng. has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Richard began their career with the US Navy in 1983 as an Engineering Manager, serving in this role until March 2005. After leaving the Navy, they joined Pavestone Company in April 2005 as the Director of Facilities, Engineering, & Maintenance, where they worked until September 2012. During their time at Pavestone Company, they also served as the Vice President of Operations / Vice President of Transportation from February 2009 to September 2012. Richard then joined Polymer-Wood Technologies as the Chief Operating Officer from November 2012 to October 2013. In October 2013, they joined WillScot as the Director of Lean Operations, a position they held until September 2014 when they joined CAI. At CAI, they held multiple roles including Chief Operating Officer, Global Director of Asset Management & Reliability Engineering Services, Vice President of Mission Critical Commissioning and Reliability Engineering Services, and Vice President of North America. Richard'stenure at CAI spanned from September 2014 to January 2021. Throughout their career, Richard Tree D.Eng. has gained extensive experience in operations, engineering management, lean operations, and asset management.

Richard Tree D.Eng. began their education in 1983 at the Nuclear Power School, where they studied Nuclear Power Technology & Operations until 1985. Richard then attended Columbia College from 1994 to 1996 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Technology. In 1997, Richard became a Master Training Specialist through the United States Navy, followed by the completion of coursework for a Master's of Science in Computer Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2000 to 2003.

Richard pursued further education at the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, earning an MBA in Accounting and Finance from 2007 to 2009. Richard engaged in Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) coursework in Operations Management at The University of Texas at Arlington starting in 2010.

Richard also invested in various certifications throughout their career. In 1994, they became a Navy Instructor through the United States Navy. Later on, they achieved the Lean Six Sigma certification from Villanova University in March 2008. In March 2015, Richard obtained certifications such as Data Center Energy Practitioner (DCEP) from the US Department of Energy, CRL from The Association for Maintenance Professionals, and CMRP from SMRP.
