Special Counsel at Cairn Capital

James joined Cairn Capital in 2005 as Chief Legal Officer, responsible for legal oversight of all aspects of its business. James served in that role until June 2019 when he became Special Counsel, in which role he continues to be involved in legal aspects of Cairn Capital’s business. James is also a member of the General Management Committee. Prior to joining Cairn Capital, James was Associate General Counsel of Banque AIG, the European subsidiary of AIG Financial Products Corp., and before that he was a partner for two and a half years at Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft and a partner for five years at Freshfields.
