Darren Banfi

Darren Banfi is an accomplished Information Security professional with over a decade of experience, currently serving as the Head of Information Security at Cairn Group since March 2016. In this role, Darren leads the development and execution of security strategies across multiple hotel and care home sites, establishing a comprehensive security framework that includes policy creation, incident response, and secure system architecture. Prior experience includes positions as a Senior Information Technology Security Analyst and Senior IT Technician at Cairn Group, where Darren managed IT security initiatives and improved server infrastructure. Previous roles at Sage and NBS involved software support and application administration, demonstrating a strong foundation in IT operations and customer service. Darren holds an HNC in Computing from Northumbria University and has staffed various technical support roles throughout a diverse career.
