Neil Blundell

Neil Blundell is a Managing Director and the Head of the Investments Team at CAIS. Neil is responsible for CAIS’ product platform including research, manager relationship management, investment strategy, and product development. He is also a member of the firm’s executive committee.

Neil brings over 20 years of experience within the alternative investment space. He most recently worked at Invesco as the Global Head of Client Solutions and Alternatives for the Investment Solutions team. In this position, he was responsible for developing and managing over $90 billion in customized multi-asset investment strategies spanning both traditional and alternative solutions. Neil was a member of the team’s executive committee, a voting member of the investment committee, and the chair of the alternative’s investment committee.

Prior to Invesco, Neil enjoyed 10+ years of tenure at BlackRock and held positions including Managing Director and Alternatives Platform Head within the Institutional Client Business, where he was responsible for the development and distribution strategy across the $125 billion global alternatives platform, and Head of Hedge Fund Investment Strategies focused on developing, enhancing, and acquiring long and short investment capabilities for the firm's $30+ billion direct multi-strategy hedge fund platform.

Earlier in his career, Neil worked at MSCI Barra, where he consulted with hedge funds on portfolio construction and risk management; at Credit Suisse First Boston within Debt Origination within the Capital Markets Group; and at Moody’s Investor Service within Product Strategy.

Neil has a BA from the University of Michigan and earned an MBA from the University of Miami. Additionally, he holds the Series 7 and 63 registrations.
