Bertrand Millot

Bertrand Millot serves as the Head of Sustainability at Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) since June 2015, overseeing the Stewardship Investing and Climate teams and advocating for sustainable investment practices. Previously, Bertrand held various roles within CDPQ, including Vice-President of Risk Management for Fixed Income and Head of Climate Risk, responsible for evaluating and mitigating climate risks. In addition to current faculty expertise at Competent Boards, Bertrand is an active board member of Ceres, Inc. and a council member at the Sustainable Infrastructure Foundation. Bertrand's prior experience includes leadership positions at Cordiant Capital Inc. and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as foundational roles at BNP Paribas and Arab European Financial Management. Bertrand holds an ICD.D designation from the Institute Corporate Directors and an MBA from McGill University, complemented by a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from Arts et Métiers.
