Daniel Lo has extensive experience in the legal field, with a focus on digital assets, crypto regulation, and decentralized finance products. Currently, they serve as the Chief Legal Officer at Cake DeFi, a Web3 company, where they lead the legal, risk, and compliance function. Prior to this, they were a Co-Founder and Director at LDU in 2021. From 2020 to 2022, they worked as a Legal Counsel at UBS. Daniel also worked as a Corporate and Funds Associate at Walkers from 2018 to 2020. Before that, they were a Legal Counsel at NF Trinity from 2016 to 2018. Daniel started their legal career as a Corporate M&A Associate at Dentons in 2015 and also worked as a Student-at-Law there from 2014 to 2015. Daniel began their professional journey as a Derivatives Negotiator at RBC Capital Markets in 2012.

Daniel Lo has a strong educational background in law and related fields. Daniel holds a Master of Laws degree in Corporate Law and Securities Regulation from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. Prior to that, they completed their LPC - Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice at City, University of London. Daniel also obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Birmingham. Daniel's undergraduate education includes an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Criminology from the University of Toronto.

In addition to their formal education, Daniel has acquired various certifications. In 2018, they became a Solicitor of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, specifically in the British Virgin Islands. In 2016, they gained the qualification of Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales through the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Daniel is also a Barrister and Solicitor of Alberta, Canada, as recognized by the Law Society of Alberta. Moreover, they hold the title of Barrister and Solicitor of Ontario, Canada, as approved by the Law Society of Ontario.

Lastly, Daniel has completed the Canadian Securities Course offered by the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI).
