John Flavin is currently an advisor at HealthChampion. Prior to that, they were the founder and CEO of Portal Innovations, LLC for 2 years and 4 months. John was also the chairman and co-founder of Pyxis Oncology, where they helped develop novel therapies for treating difficult to treat cancers. John then became the executive chairman of ClostraBio, Inc., where they were dedicated to understanding and treating food allergies and other diseases of the immune system. After that, they became an entrepreneurial advisor at Argonne National Laboratory, where they supported entrepreneurial and commercialization activities within the Lab. John then went on to become the managing director of Flavin Ventures, LLC, where they have been for the past 20 years. John has also been a guest lecturer at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business for 16 years, teaching entrepreneurial finance and commercializing innovation. In addition, they have also served as the chief financial officer of Endotronix, Inc. and the cofounder and executive director of MATTER/Chicago Innovation Mentors. Finally, they were also the president, CFO, co-founder, and board director of Advanced Life Sciences for 9 years before becoming the chief operating officer and board director of MediChem Life Sciences, where they have been for the past 12 years.
John Flavin received their education from Marquette University, Lewis University, and Benet Academy. John's field of study was finance and they received their MBA from Lewis University in 1995.
