Susan Braeuer Dam has a diverse work experience in the art and publishing industries. Susan started their career as an Editorial Assistant at Hearst Magazines in 1997 and later moved to Conde Nast in 1998. Susan then worked at Penguin Group USA as an Editorial Assistant from 1999 to 2001. Following this, Susan joined The Menil Collection as a Project Curatorial Assistant from 2001 to 2006.
