Dantong Yu currently serves as an Associate Professor at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Guest Scientist at Brookhaven National Laboratory. With extensive experience in data processing and analysis, Dantong has led significant advancements in the development of workflows for National Synchrotron Light Source-II and has pioneered algorithms for big data mining in X-ray image analysis and nanomaterial design. As a Group Leader at the Computational Science Center, Dantong secured over $11 million in research grants and innovated a fast data transfer protocol achieving speeds of 160Gbit/second. Previous roles include Engineering Manager responsible for expanding a distributed software team at Brookhaven and teaching graduate-level courses as an Adjunct Professor at Stony Brook University. Dantong holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University at Buffalo, along with a Master's and Bachelor's from the same institution and Peking University, respectively.
