James Mufara

James Mufara is an experienced mining professional with a strong background in operations and management. Currently serving as the Regional General Manager at Harmony Gold since February 2021, Mufara has held various leadership roles in the mining sector, including Director at JAMATHA MINING and JH MINING, and Chief Operating Officer at Samancor Chrome. Mufara's expertise includes running both open pit and underground chrome mines and providing consultancy on mining operations. Earlier roles include Director Technical at Konkola Copper Mines plc and Regional General Manager at Harmony Gold. Mufara holds a Master of Business Administration degree from MANCOSA, a Mine Managers' Certificate of Competency from the Department of Mineral Resources in South Africa, and a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the University of Zimbabwe.
