Calera Capital
Jim Farrell is a Managing Partner of Calera Capital and a member of the General Partner.
Before co-founding Calera Capital in 1991, Jim served as an independent investor assisting Rainwater, Inc. in a private equity transaction that led to the successful restructuring of AmeriCredit (NYSE, consumer finance company). Previously, Jim was an Associate at ESL Partners, a private investment partnership pursuing value-oriented investments in private and public equity and debt securities. He began his career in 1985 at Copley Real Estate Advisors.
Jim received an A.B. from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Jim grew up on Staten Island, NY and lived in Boston, Tokyo, and Dallas before settling in San Francisco in 1991. He enjoys outdoor sports and spending time with his wife, two sons, and friends.
