Lily Mebrahtu

Lily Mebrahtu is an experienced professional in the field of settlement and interpretation, currently serving as a Settlement Counsellor at Calgary Catholic Immigration Society since December 2022. Previously, Lily held the position of Human Resources Assistant at H&R Block for one year and worked as an Interpreter with UNHCR from August 2018 to December 2022, specializing in Tigrinya and Arabic to English translation, document translation, and counselling refugees. Additionally, Lily contributed as an Interpreter for IOM - UN Migration from June 2009 to January 2015, providing language assistance for refugees resettling from Sudan to countries including Canada, the Netherlands, and Sweden. Lily holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Comboni College for Science and Technology, earned between 2010 and 2014.
