Anna Liza Ponce

Anna Liza Ponce has extensive experience in education, serving as a High School Social Studies Teacher and various coordinating roles at Calgary Catholic School District since May 2002. In addition to teaching, Anna Liza Ponce has been involved in professional development and the International Baccalaureate Programme as a CAS and Extended Essay Coordinator. Since January 2006, Anna Liza Ponce has contributed to AB Ed as a Standards Confirmer and facilitator, and has been an Association Instructor with The Alberta Teachers' Association since September 2016. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Diversity, Equity and Social Justice from Western University, a Certificate of Global Education from Rice University, a Master's degree in Education/Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Social Studies and English/Language Arts from the University of Alberta.
