Holly Schile

Director, Arts & Culture at Calgary Catholic School District

Holly Schile has a diverse work experience in the arts and education sectors. Holly began their career as a Fine & Performing Arts Teacher before transitioning to a role as a Coordinating Teacher Fine Arts. In 2009, they became a Fine & Performing Arts Consultant K-12. Holly then moved on to work as a Liaison Arts & Culture at the Calgary Catholic School District before being promoted to Director, Arts & Culture in March 2022. In addition to their work in education, they have served as a Board Member at Arts Commons since October 2014. Holly has also been the Owner of L'Appartement des Artistes since 2010, as well as the Owner of Artist's Bed and Breakfast from 2009 to 2020.

Holly Schile attended McGill University from 1987 to 1993, where they pursued a degree in Music Performance and Visual Art Education. Holly'sfield of study included trumpet, sculpture, and pottery. In 2015, they furthered their education by enrolling at Concordia University-Portland and completing a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree. Holly'sstudies at Concordia focused on Educational Leadership and Administration, which they completed in 2016.
