Matthew Scarth

Matthew Scarth is an experienced educator and support worker specializing in various roles within the Calgary Catholic School District and Calgary Board of Education. Currently serving as a Guest Teacher since May 2023, Matthew previously held positions as a Preservice Teacher in both school districts and contributed as a School Support Worker and Education Assistant focused on severe behaviour. Matthew's background also includes experience at Closer to Home Community Services, where support was provided in a group home setting, and as a Peer Educator with Counseling Outreach Peer Educator (COPE). In addition to the educational sector, Matthew has interned with The Home for Little Wanderers and Bay Cove Human Services. Academically, Matthew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from St. Mary's University Calgary and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross.
