Katrina Nicholson is a Medical Director for Family Physicians at the Physician Learning Program and CME offices, where responsibilities include supporting family physicians in enhancing patient care through quality improvement measures and developing continuing medical education programs. In addition, Katrina serves as a Physician Champion for the Cochrane Child and Youth Collaborative at the Calgary Foothills Primary Care Network and is a faculty member at CanReach, which offers a mini fellowship in pediatric psychopharmacology. As a clinical lecturer at the University of Calgary, Katrina contributes to medical education while maintaining a part-time family practice as the medical lead in Cochrane, Alberta. Katrina earned a MB ChB in Medicine from the University of Liverpool between 1983 and 1988 and has practiced as a family physician since 1993.

The Calgary Foothills Primary Care Network (PCN) is a group of more than 500 family doctors who work with teams of other health professionals to offer patients the best in primary health care. Our PCN serves nearly 400,000 patients in northwest Calgary and Cochrane. Together with Alberta Health Services, we offer round-the-clock care.
