Kondwani Bwanali, CPA, CGA, is an accomplished financial professional with a diverse background in senior finance roles. Currently serving as CFO and Vice President of Corporate Services at Calgary Municipal Land Corporation since August 2008, Kondwani has previously held positions such as Senior Accountant at Pointe of View Developments and Assured Developments, and Controller at Cinex Inc. Starting a career at Ernst & Young as a Trainee Accountant, Kondwani also gained early experience as a Customer Service Representative at Stanbic Bank. An education in accounting from the University of South Africa and recent executive training at Harvard Business School in strategic CFO practices further enhance Kondwani's expertise in financial management and corporate services.

WHO WE ARE Calgary Municipal Land Corporation (CMLC) is a passionate team of urban placemakers; we are city-builders devoted to making Calgary a better place to live. HISTORY CMLC was incorporated in 2007 as a wholly owned subsidiary of the City of Calgary with the mandate to achieve the City's objectives for urban densification and community renewal, infrastructure investment and placemaking – both within and outside the Rivers District. WHAT WE DO Over the past decade, CMLC has rebuilt East Village from the ground up. Through public infrastructure improvements, strategic placemaking and enthusiastic programming, we have breathed new life into downtown Calgary’s east end. With East Village standing proudly as a testament to our talents in visioning, redevelopment, placemaking, programming and relationship-building, we’ve extended our efforts into the further reaches of the Rivers District. We have now turned our attention to creating a vision for east Victoria Park through the Rivers District Master Plan.
