Ellie Cherry

Ellie Cherry is an experienced conservation education professional currently serving as the Conservation Education Coordinator at Calgary Zoo since March 2020. Previously, Ellie held the position of Zoo Education Officer at Leeds City Council from July 2017 to December 2019, where responsibilities included leading a team to deliver educational programs across multiple zoo sites, training staff, organizing events, and mentoring student teachers. Prior experience includes the role of Learning and Discovery Assistant at Knowsley Safari Park, where Ellie developed educational workshops and guided tours, as well as various internships and positions in research and retail. Ellie holds a Master of Science in Biodiversity and Conservation and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Leeds.
