Jay Ballard (Hoss)

Jay "Hoss" Ballard is currently the Vice President of Defence - Learning at Calian Group, where Jay "Hoss" leads the Global Defence portfolio for the Learning business unit. Prior to this role, Jay "Hoss" managed military training and simulation contracts for the Canadian Armed Forces at Calian Limited. With previous experience as an instructor and facilitator at Canadian Forces College and Naval Postgraduate School, Jay brings a wealth of knowledge in training and education for professional military officers. Additionally, their background as a Naval Aviator in the US Navy and owner of a strategic advisory firm showcase their expertise in corporate strategic planning and military operational planning. Jay holds a Masters in Defense Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada.
