Susan Hardenburgh has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Susan started their career in 1999 at AARP, where they worked as a Fulfillment Services Assistant, before moving on to roles such as Historian, Archivist, and Researcher. Susan also worked as a Program Specialist for the Driver Safety Program at AARP, where they conducted maintenance and updated course information on the program's website.
In 2004, Susan joined the Driver Safety Program, where they worked as a Program Analyst. During their time there, they planned, developed, and implemented two national programs, oversaw a budget of approximately $500,000, and recruited over 800 new volunteers. Susan also worked closely with national partners and staff in various state offices to accomplish these tasks.
From 2009 to 2016, Susan worked at ASM Research as a Management Analyst. In this role, they initiated and coordinated quality-related data, supervised the helpdesk, and trained new users on system levels. Additionally, they served as a Helpdesk Trainer and Technical Writer, troubleshooting issues and assisting in editing the system's help manual.
In 2016, Susan joined CALIBRE Systems, Inc. as a Program Analyst III. Susan'sresponsibilities included technical writing for the Army Force Management School (AFMS) at Fort Belvoir, serving as an admin for the academic department at AFMS, and editing SOPs and drafting articles for the AFMS newsletter. Susan also worked as a Program Analyst III for the Interim Permanent Change of Station (PCS) Support Team, where they processed, analyzed, and managed Order Writing Activities (OWA) orders logs and provided guidance to improve efficiency. Susan briefed the results of OWA orders processed and errors to Army G-1 and Assistant Secretary of the Army Financial Management and Comptroller leadership.
In addition, Susan worked as a Program Analyst for the TSI Office of Navy Defense Acquisition Career Management (DACM) from 2017 to 2018. In this role, they created and updated training materials to promote productivity, innovation, and excellence within the workforce.

Susan Hardenburgh completed their A.A degree in Education at Germanna Community College from 1987 to 1992. Following that, they pursued their B.A degree in History at George Mason University from 2000 to 2004.
