Violet Carvalho

Violet Carvalho is an experienced quality assurance leader in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors, currently serving as the Head of Quality Assurance and Associate Vice President at Calidi Biotherapeutics since August 2023. Previously, Violet worked as a Senior Quality and Regulatory Compliance Consultant and held multiple senior roles at Ligand Pharmaceuticals, including Senior Director of Quality Operations, where oversight of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Contract Service Providers was provided. Violet also served as Director of Quality Operations at Pfenex Inc, where leadership in driving quality expectations and continuous improvement was demonstrated. Violet's educational background includes a Master of Science in Oral Biology from the University of Manitoba and a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Chemistry from the University of Bombay.
