Javier A. Ceja-Navarro is an Associate Professor at Northern Arizona University and an Associate Research Fellow at the California Academy of Sciences since November 2018. Previously, Javier worked at Berkeley Lab as a Research Scientist from August 2010 to August 2022 and engaged in various roles including Project Scientist and Postdoctoral Researcher, focusing on multitrophic interactions and microbial communities in ecosystems. As a Scientific Consultant at the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT), Javier conducted sequence analysis of molecular markers for wheat breeding. Javier's academic foundation includes a PhD in Biotechnology from the Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados del IPN and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Celaya.
