Connie Calhoun

Connie Calhoun, SPHR has over 20 years of experience in human resources. Connie is currently serving as the Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development at the Almond Board of California, a position they have held since December 2020. Prior to this role, they were the Associate Director of Human Resources at the same company from 2018 to 2020.

Before joining the Almond Board of California, Connie worked at The Save Mart Companies as the Sr. Manager of In Store Training from 2016 to 2017. In this role, they oversaw all in-store training activities and implemented a validation system that reduced the training budget while increasing training opportunities.

From 2012 to 2016, Connie held multiple roles at Save Mart Supermarkets. Connie's earlier experience includes working as the Director of Human Resources at 5.11 Tactical, where they developed HR policies and procedures, recruitment strategies, and legal compliance programs. Connie also worked as the Human Resources Manager at Council for the Spanish Speaking - El Concilio, overseeing all HR functions for a non-profit organization.

Connie's career began at Unisource, where they served as the Director of QA from 1996 to 2000.

Connie Calhoun, SPHR, obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University from 1985 to 1990. Connie holds a Bachelor of Arts - BA degree, and the field of study is unknown.

In addition to their education, Connie Calhoun has also obtained two certifications. In May 2018, they became a Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certified by the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
