Lorna Meyer Calas

Lorna Meyer is a managing director with the Merrill Lynch Private Banking and Investment Group. She has more than 45 years of experience advising ultra-high-net-worth clients. Prior to her association with Merrill Lynch, she was a managing director at Hambrecht & Quist and Alex. Brown & Sons. Meyer was named one of Barron’s “Top 1,000” advisors nationwide. In 2010, Barron’s named her the fourth best “Woman Financial Advisor” in the nation and the San Francisco Business Times has ranked her the number one “Woman Wealth Advisor” in the Bay Area for multiple years in a row. Meyer was named among the “Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business” by the San Francisco Business Times in 2020.

Meyer is currently the president of the board of trustees of the Foundation of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco (SFMOMA). As a member of SFMOMA’s Director’s Circle, she sponsored the Barabra Stauffacher Solomon exhibition in 2019. Meyer is co-chair of the advisory board of the Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art at UC Davis and the co-founder and president of the San Francisco Advocacy for the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA). Until 2019, she was also on the board of trustees of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

Meyer has headed the investment committee at California College of the Arts (CCA) longer than any other individual in the college’s history. In recognition of her exceptional service, which includes establishing an endowed student scholarship and contributing to the capital campaign for campus expansion, Meyer was the CCA 2020 Gala Honoree.

Meyer holds a bachelor of arts degree and attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and the University of Toledo.
