Nancy Howes

Nancy Howes is the Co-Founder and CEO of Know Yourself Academy, which focuses on promoting self-literacy among children in a technology-driven world. Since March 2012, Nancy has been dedicated to ensuring that self-understanding becomes as essential as traditional literacy. In addition to this role, Nancy has served as a Trustee at California College of the Arts since September 2005, contributing to the education of students in the arts, architecture, and design. Previously, Nancy was a Trustee at New Langton Arts from 2006 to 2008, supporting contemporary art initiatives. With a strong technical background, Nancy worked on infrastructure provisioning at @Home Networks and served as an infrastructure engineer at BBN Planet. Early career experiences include managing data services at Texas Instruments and maintaining missile systems at Raytheon. Nancy holds a BFA in Metal Arts from California College of the Arts, an M.Ed. from Cambridge College, and a diploma from Copenhagen International School in Art Studies and Social Anthropology.
