Angela Howe

Angela Howe currently serves as a Deputy Attorney General in the Environmental Attorney role at the California Department of Justice, focusing on the Land Use and Conservation Section and the Plastic Pollution Litigation Team. Additionally, Angela serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Diego School of Law, teaching Ocean and Coastal Law with an emphasis on governance of coastal and ocean resources. Prior experience includes a tenure as Senior Legal Director at the Surfrider Foundation and as an attorney at Hogan & Hartson LLP, where legal research and writing were central to the environmental practice group. Angela began her career as a Summer Associate at Pachulski, Stang, Ziehl, & Jones after earning a Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Policy Studies from Rice University.
