Stephanie Yu

Stephanie Yu is a Deputy Attorney General in the Healthcare Rights & Access Section at the California Department of Justice, a position held since April 2019. Previously, Stephanie served as a Litigation Associate at Schonbrun Seplow Harris & Hoffman and worked as a Staff Attorney at Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County, focusing on health consumer advocacy. Additional experience includes a brief role as a Volunteer Deputy City Attorney at the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office and a Judicial Law Clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Stephanie's earlier legal career featured positions as a Litigation Associate at Dykema, a Legal Intern with the U.S. Department of Justice, and legal internships at the Brennan Center for Justice and Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. Stephanie earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and French from The Johns Hopkins University.
