Alan Zamboanga

Alan Zamboanga is a seasoned civil engineer with extensive experience in water resources and waste management. Currently serving as a Senior Water Resources Engineer at the California Department of Water Resources, Alan contributes to infrastructure projects for the California State Water Project. Formerly, Alan held the position of Waste Management Engineer at CalRecycle, leading environmental remediation efforts and managing wildfire debris removal projects valued at approximately $1.8 billion. Alan's expertise also includes serving as a Principal at RTZ, Inc., where responsibilities encompassed sustainability consulting and third-party reviews for Green Building Certification. Early career roles included plan review services at Bureau Veritas, project engineering at ATM Engineering and Western State Engineering, and staff engineering at Terracon and AGS, Inc. Alan holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
