Chelsea Spier

Chelsea Spier is a Senior Water Resources Engineer at the California Department of Water Resources, specializing in Sustainable Groundwater Management and Integrated Regional Water Management since April 2015. Chelsea leads grant management efforts, contributes to water supply and balance analyses, and participates in DWR's Racial Equity Team. Previous roles include Water Resources Engineer with responsibilities in local outreach for the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act and flood maintenance assessments. Chelsea also serves as a Course Instructor for the Environmental Fundamentals of Engineering Review course and has experience as a Research Associate II at the University of the Pacific, where analytical laboratory operations were managed. Additionally, Chelsea held leadership positions within the Society of Women Engineers and contributed to the IWA WRBM 2014 Conference as an organizer. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, both from the University of the Pacific.
