James Walker

James Walker is a Senior Engineering Geologist at the California Department of Water Resources since July 2021, previously holding the role of Senior Geologist at Tetra Tech from October 2004 to June 2021, where responsibilities shifted from field work to project management, overseeing compliance monitoring for energy facilities. Prior to Tetra Tech, James served as a Staff Geologist at GeoTrans, Inc. from June 2001 to June 2002, focusing on field activities such as sample collection and site inspections. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Geology with an Environmental Hydro option and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from California State University, Los Angeles, and a certificate in Environmental and Occupational Health from The Johns Hopkins University.
