Scott Cobbs

Scott Cobbs is a seasoned Water Resources Engineer with extensive experience in flood control system improvement projects at the California Department of Water Resources since November 2018. Previously, Cobbs worked as a Staff Engineer at GEI Consultants, Inc., where responsibilities included creating models and floodplain maps using HEC-RAS, HEC-ResSim, and ArcGIS, along with assisting in project management plan preparations. Prior experience also includes serving as a Research Assistant at the Office of Water Programs, focusing on stormwater runoff quality, and as a Senior Student Engineer for the Sacramento Area Sewer District, where Cobbs reviewed wastewater design plans and conducted sewer studies. Cobbs holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California State University-Sacramento.
