Jonathan Byers

Jonathan Byers, EIT, is a Water Resources Engineer at the California Department of Water Resources since October 2023, specializing in water management simulation models and computer simulation studies for the Central Valley Modeling Section. Prior experience includes roles as Water Resources Staff Engineer II and I at Peterson Brustad Inc., where responsibilities encompassed designing and planning potable water, wastewater, and storm drainage systems, as well as flood control infrastructure. Jonathan also served as a Scientific Aid at the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board, reviewing Quality Assurance Project Plans, and as a Utilities Engineering Intern for the City of Woodland, assisting in the design and estimation of city infrastructure projects. Jonathan earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Davis, in 2021.
